Girish Mancha

Girish Mancha is one of the busiest auditoriums in North Kolkata is under the administrative central of the Information and Cultural Affairs Department Govt. of West Bengal. It was inaugurated by the then Chief Minister, West Bengal on 1.7.86 where many noted personalities in the field of Culture were present. The design of the auditorium was done by the Public Works Department and the maintenance is also done by the Public Works Department Govt. of West Bengal. The Expenditure for construction of the auditorium is in the region of Rs.2.5 crores. It is an Air Conditioned auditorium. Measurement of the Stage is 38 ft X 40 ft except wings.

Some information regarding the auditorium is given below :-

a) For the purpose of booking the auditorium application form is available in the first twenty days from the office of the Girish Mancha. Application has to be made three months in advance.

b) Seating capacity of the auditorium is 889 out of which 20 seats are reserved for auditorium authority
