Madhusudan Mancha is controlled and managed by the Information & Cultural Affairs Department, Government of West Bengal. This auditorium is inaugurated by the then Chief Minister of West Bengal on 8.10.93 in presence of many eminent personalities in the field of Culture. The auditorium was named after the Great poet-Dramatist-Michael Madhusudan Dutta. It is an air-conditioned auditorium. The seating capacity is 846, of which 24 seats are reserved for the auditorium authority.

Some important information regarding booking of the auditorium is given below:-

A. Application Form for booking the auditorium is to be collected from the office of the Madhusudan Mancha before 3 months from the 1st day of the booking month. 

B. Application Form is received in each and every month from 1^st to 15^th and same can be deposited after fulfilling the formalities upto 20^th.

C. Hire charge of the auditorium is fixed for 3(three) hours.

Morning – 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Evening -   6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

For using the auditorium excess time, the extra amount has to be paid in the following manner:-

(i)  5 - 10 minutes     - Rs.200/-
(ii)  10 - 30 minutes   - Rs.500/-
