The information Directorate is
generally responsible for collecting and disseminating information.
It plays the role of a catalyst towards maintaining liaison amongst
all the departments of the government and also between the government
and the people. It not only reaches the message of the government to
the people but also collects feed back from them throughout the state. The Directorate is under overall supervision of the Director of Information,
who is assisted by a group of Officers and staff. The Information Directorate
generally functions with 15 specific wings/sections comprising of :
